• Se usan con valor de subjuntivo español en oraciones que expresan posibilidad:
may: expresa posibilidad probable ("puede que")
might: expresa una posibiliad más remota ("pudiera ser que")
It may rain.
(Puede que llueva.)
It might rain.
(Pudiera ser que lloviera / lloviese.)
May your sister have brought it?
(¿Puede que tu hermana lo haya traído?)
Your parents might not know about it.

• En subordinadas finales introducidas por in order that, so that:
