may, might 
(puede que, pudiera ser que + subjuntivo)

Son verbos modales que se usan:

• Con valor de subjuntivo español en oraciones que expresan posibilidad: 

It may rain.
(Puede que llueva.)

It might rain.
(Pudiera ser que lloviera / lloviese.)

May your sister have brought it?
(¿Puede que tu hermana lo haya traído?)

Your parents might not know about it.
(Pudiera ser que tus padres no se enteraran / enterasen.)

• En subordinadas finales introducidas por in order that, so that:

He brought his camera so that / in order that we might take photos of the event.
(Se trajo la cámara para que pudiéramos tomar / tomáramos fotos del acontecimiento.)

I'm bringing these chairs so that / in order that you may be more confortable.
(Traigo estas sillas para que podáis estar / estéis más cómodos.)

I'll shut the window so that / in order that the noise may not awake the baby.
(Cerraré la ventana para que el ruido no pueda despertar / no despierte al bebé.)
