ORACIONES SUBORDINADAS DE TIEMPO.

Detrás de estas conjunciones  NO se utiliza:  WILL, WOULD.

after: después que, después de que
as: cuando, mientras
as long as / so long as: mientras que
as soon as: tan pronto como
before: antes que, antes de que  
by the time (that): para cuando
now that: ahora que
since: desde que
the moment (that): en el momento en que
until  / till: hasta que
when: cuando
whenever: siempre que
while  / whilst: mientras

WHILE versus AS:

• WHILE para expresar dos acciones simultáneas que duran.
I was reading the paper while the children were playing football.
(Yo leía el periódico mientras los niños jugaban al fútbol.)

• AS con dos acciones simultáneas cortas:
As we opened the door, the telephone started to ring.
(Cuando abrimos la puerta, sonó el teléfono.)

(Aunque en caso de duda se prefiere WHILE)
