ORACIONES SUBORDINADAS CONSECUTIVAS


• TAN ... QUE

So + adjective/adverb ... (that)
The book was so good that I couldn't stop reading.
(El libro era tan bueno que no pude dejar de leer.)
She spoke so kindly to me that I felt good.
(Ella me habló tan amablemente que me sentí bien.)

Such a/an + adjectivo + singular... (that)
She is such a nice girl that everybody likes her.
(Es una chica tan agradable que todo el mundo la aprecia.)

Such + adjectivo + plural / incontable ... (that)
There were such loud noises that I had a headache.
(Había ruidos tan fuertes que tuve dolor de cabeza.)
He was in such bad mood that we didn't talk to him.
(Estaba de tan mal humor que no le hablamos.)

• TANTO -TANTA / TAN POCO - TAN POCA ... QUE

So much / little + singular ... (that)
He put so much sugar in my coffee that I couldn't drink it.
(Puso tanto azúcar en mi café que no pude beberlo.)

• TANTOS -TANTAS / TAN POCOS -TAN POCAS ... QUE

So many / few+ plural... (that)
There were so few seats that we remained standing.
(Había tan pocos asientos que nos quedamos de pie.)

Such a lot of + plural / incontable ... (that)
There 's such a lot of noise that we can't hear anything.
(Hay tanto ruido que no oímos nada.)
